1. Overview
Eye Can Fly is a flying adventure created specifically for eye-gaze users. It features 24 missions for your pilot, Aimee, to soar through - introducing concepts like geography, compass directions, and topography while helping players build confidence and precision with their eye-gaze skills.
Alongside eye gaze, play can also be controlled using any mouse-pointer device, a keyboard, switches, or joysticks:

- Eye-gaze users who can reliably select items on screen
- Learners using switches or keyboard access
- Children working on early geography concepts
- SEND learners who benefit from visual, motivating games
- Teachers, therapists, and parents supporting eye-gaze learning
- Set up and mount the eye tracker following the manufacturer’s guidance
- Make sure eye-gaze mouse control is working on the computer
- Calibrate eye-gaze for the learner
- Check the learner can dwell-click reliably
When Eye Can Fly launches, a configuration screen appears before the game loads.
2. Choose graphics settings
- Screen resolution: Match your screen size
(If unsure, choose the highest option) - Graphics quality:
- Fantastic = best visuals
- Fastest = smoother on slower computers
Windowed mode:
- On = plays in a window
- Off = full screen
You can adjust controls for:
- Keyboard
- Switches
- Joysticks / gamepads
Tip: Primary and secondary controls can work at the same time.
- Menus use large buttons for easier eye-gaze access
- Select items using dwell clicking
- A red cursor circle shrinks while dwelling
- The Options menu and Quit button on the title screen do not support dwell clicking
- These require a standard mouse click
- Press Start
- Choose a new profile
- Select a shape and letter

- From a loaded profile (saved for that learner only)
Press OK to save changes.
Control methods
- Pointer – for eye-gaze or mouse
- Keyboard / Switch – for switch or keyboard access
- Left & Right only – simpler flying (up/down is automatic)
- Up, Down, Left & Right – full control (recommended later)
- Vehicle visible – see the plane or airship
- Vehicle invisible – first-person view
8. Gameplay adjustments
- Flight speed: Medium / Slow / Very Slow
- Cursor size: Large or small
- Cursor visibility: Visible / 50% / Hidden
- Dwell click time: 0.5 to 2.5 seconds
- You can disable dwell clicking on:
- Profile selection screen
- All non-game menus
Level duration
Choose how long levels last:
- 1 minute (default)
- 2.5 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 20 minutes
- Unlimited
Audio
Adjust:
- Sound effects
- Music
- Voice volume
9. Playing Eye Can Fly
Balloon Pop
- Plane flies automatically
- Look at balloons to pop them
- Locations: Farm, Island, World Map
- Pointer only (not available in keyboard/switch mode)
Flight School
A structured learning mode guided by Aimee. Learners complete missions while learning:
- Left and right
- Near and far
- Compass points
- Geography concepts
- The Farm – left/right only (introductory)
- The Island – rescue missions and exploration
- The World – continents and landmarks
Tip: Start with left/right only before adding up/down movement.

Ground-based games for variety:
- Coin Chase – collect falling coins
- Aimee’s Treasure Hunt – explore and find hidden coins

- An active internet is connection required for installation/activation.
