1. Overview

Cosmo is a set of interactive and multi-sensory accessibility switches (known as Dots), that work together with the Cosmo Learning app (iPad only) and Cosmo Dot Setup (iOS) and (Android) app.


It offers an ever-growing selection of activities that motivate learners to develop cognitive, communication and physical skills through play and music.


There are two tailored products available:


  • Cosmo Dot: A single LED-backlit Bluetooth switch - ideal for individuals, families and small therapy settings. 

  • Cosmo Learning System: An eight-switch system - ideal for teachers, group and therapy-based use.


Whether you purchase a single Cosmo Dot, or the eight-switch Learning System, you will have unlimited, free access to the Cosmo Learning System iPad app. The app includes a collection of interactive activities (39 at the time of writing) that motivate learners to develop motor, cognitive and communication skills through purposeful play, movement and music. Some of these activities require multiple Dots, others can be used with just a single Dot.

    2. What's in the box?

    • Cosmo Dot - one Cosmo Dot, USB-C charging cable, and magnets for mounting.
    • Cosmo Learning system - eight Cosmo Dots, eight USB-C charging cables, international plug adapters and magnets for mounting.

    3. Mounting Cosmo Dots

    The Cosmo Switch (Dot) requires the REHAdapt Rectangular Mounting Plate and is compatible with the REHAdapt Mounting Arms.

    These arms include a Super Clamp.

    Mounting examples

    The image above shows a Cosmo Dot mounted on the REHAdapt Rectangular Mounting Plate, using the REHAdapt Mini Clamp attached to a table top.


    4. Setup and use

    1. Charge Devices: Charge Dots using the supplied USB cable. Battery typically lasts 5-7 days on a single charge. A full charge takes between 2 and 4 hours - the switch will glow orange whilst charging, then green once fully charged.

    2. Pair via App: Use the Cosmo Dot Setup app (on iOS or Android) to customise settings and connect the Dots.

    3. Launch Activities: Open the Cosmo Learning System app on iPad to access built-in activities - music interaction, cause-and-effect games, AAC, and more.
