1. Overview
The Big Beamer is a large, easy-to-press wireless switch used with a matching wireless receiver to give switch access to toys, devices, computers, and assistive technology. This guide combines the transmitter (Big Beamer switch) and receiver instructions into one clear, step‑by‑step guide.
It comes in two parts:
- Big Beamer wireless switch (transmitter) – the large round switch the learner presses.
- Wireless receiver – plugs into a switch‑accessible device and receives the signal.
When the Big Beamer is pressed, it sends a wireless signal to the receiver, which then activates the connected device.
2. Who's it for?
Big Beamer is suitable for:
- Learners who need a large activation surface
- Users with limited fine motor control
- Early cause‑and‑effect activities
- Switch‑accessible toys, appliances, and computer interfaces
It can be used in schools, therapy settings, and at home.
