1. Overview

The Manfrotto Gooseneck Flexible Arm is a simple, reliable mounting arm for holding small accessories exactly where you need them. It’s designed for everyday use and is easy to position, adjust, and secure.

The arm is 55 cm long and 18 mm in diameter, giving enough reach and flexibility to position lightweight items without getting in the way. It can safely support accessories up to 0.5 kg, making it suitable for switches and communication devices (such as the BIGmack and iTalk 2).

Because the arm can be bent and repositioned easily, it’s useful when you need fine control over positioning or when space is limited. Once set, it stays firmly in place.

The arm can be quickly attached to the Manfrotto Super Clamp. It also includes common thread fittings (9.5 mm female thread and a 16 mm stud with 6.4 mm male thread), making it compatible with a wide range of standard mounting accessories.

Typical uses include:
  • Holding small accessories in a fixed position
  • Supporting lightweight devices where precise placement is needed
  • Creating temporary or adjustable mounting solutions

2. What's included?

The Gooseneck Switch Mounting consists of:

  • 1 x Super Clamp
  • 1 x Gooseneck Flexible Arm
  • 1 x Brass Adapter (for attaching mounting plates)

3. Connecting the Gooseneck arm to the clamp

The male end of the Gooseneck slots into the clamp as you hold down the silver button on the side (loosen the adjacent thumbscrew first). Once the arm is placed in the clamp, release the silver button and use the thumbscrew to tighten and secure the arm in position.

Important - do not screw the male end of the Gooseneck into the threaded part of the clamp (see below).

4. How do I know which mounting plate I need for my switch and arm?

The support pages for all our switches include comprehensive information on which mounting plates and arms are compatible with that particular switch. You can browse the Switch Access category, or search for your specific switch using the search bar at the top of each page:

5. Switch Mounting Configurator

You could also try using our Switch Mounting Configurator. Simply select your switch and arm from a list, the configurator will then show you exactly which plate you'll need to mount your switch.
