1. Overview

The it-Click-On Plus (now branded the SimplyWorks ENERGISE) is a mains controller that lets you turn electrical appliances on and off using wired or wireless switches. You can control one or two appliances, choose from six control modes, and use ENERGISE from up to 10 metres away using SimplyWorks wireless switches.

It works with:

  • Any 3.5mm wired switch
  • it-Switch Large, it-Switch Small, SEND, and other compatible SimplyWorks transmitters

Appliances plug directly into the it-Click-On Plus, allowing switch users to activate them safely and independently.

This guide explains setup, pairing, modes, safe use, mounting, troubleshooting and care.

2. Who it’s for

This product is ideal for:

  • Teachers running switch-based activities
  • Occupational therapists and AT specialists
  • Parents supporting cause-and-effect learning at home
  • Learners who benefit from single-switch or multi-switch access
  • Shared spaces needing wireless switch control up to 10 metres

3. What's in the box

  • it-Click-On Plus (ENERGISE)
  • Instruction manual

4. Before you start

  • Choose the appliances you want to control.
  • (Make sure you understand their own safety features and any sharp or moving parts.)
  • Ensure appliances plug into a UK 230V mains socket and do not exceed 12A combined load.
  • Place the it-Click-On Plus somewhere stable and away from water.
  • Check power cables are tidy and do not create trip hazards.
  • If using wireless switches, have them nearby for pairing.

5. Setting up (step-by-step)

  1. Plug the it-Click-On Plus into a standard wall socket.
(It can be unplugged at any time for immediate disconnection).

  2. Plug your appliance(s) into socket 1 and/or 2, then turn the appliances on.

  3. Connect a switch:

    • Wired: plug into switch inputs 1 or 2 on the side panel.

    • Wireless: pair your SimplyWorks switch (see next section).

  4. Press and hold the switch to check the appliance turns on in Direct mode.

6. Pairing wireless switches

Place your wireless switch close to the device.

  1. Briefly press Pair 1 (or Pair 2).
  2. The matching Pair LED will flash slowly.
  3. Immediately press the Pair button on the wireless switch.
  4. The Pair LED will stay lit for 5 seconds once paired successfully.
  5. Repeat for up to three wireless switches per channel.
  6. (If you pair a fourth, the least-recently-used switch is replaced.)
  7. To clear all pairings on a channel, hold Pair 1 or Pair 2 until the LED flashes rapidly.

Helpful notes

  • Pair LEDs also show that the output socket is active.
  • LEDs blink briefly whenever the it-Click-On Plus receives a wireless signal.

7. Using the product

The it-Click-On Plus offers six modes. Four operate each channel independently; two use both channels together.

Independent control (one or two switches)

  • Direct

Appliance is on while any switch is held, and off when released.

  • Latched

         Press once = ON

         Press again = OFF

(Avoid this mode if the appliance already latches itself.)

  • Timed Seconds

A single press turns the appliance on for 5–60 seconds.

  • Timed Minutes

A single press turns the appliance on for 2–30 minutes.

Co-operative two-switch control

  • Co-Op Mode

At least one switch on each channel must be pressed at the same time for both appliances to run.

  • On/Off Mode

Pressing Channel 1 switch turns both appliances ON.

Pressing Channel 2 switch turns both appliances OFF.

Changing mode

  1. Press the Channel button to select Channel 1 (press twice for Channel 2).
  2. LEDs light to show the current mode.
  3. Press Settings to cycle through the six modes.
  4. Wait 5 seconds — the setting saves automatically.

  2. Hold Settings to view the timer value (LED bar).
  3. Tap Settings to change the value.
  4. Wait 5 seconds for it to save.
